peace or resentment?

You don’t have to hurt those who hurt you,
you don’t have to continue the vicious cycle,

Someone left? let them leave,
someone stayed? love them

a friend suddenly turned cold and you don’t know why? it’s okay let them close their door.

someone compete with you unnecessarily?
let them win

someone makes you feel unworthy? remind yourself your worth doesn’t depend on anyone’s opinion but your own.

walk away but walk away in peace.

Don’t hold anger or resentment for stains are more visible on white clothes,
if you have a pure heart, don’t let the stains of hatred, resentment stay for too long else it would be difficult to wash them away.

Do whatever but never return the hurtful energy they sent you, end it here, right here

I won’t tell you to not feel hurt and in turn, resentment, because that’s so vague.
It’s only humane to feel all we can but we can choose what to do with those overwhelming emotions,
we do have a choice of walking away with either peace or resentment.

I choose peace and you?

  1. Thanks to you, forgiveness is the only way out of feuds and wars, unfortunately for 2 millennia it has been a difficult concept, you have to have a great heart to practice it on every occasion that Life “sends” us.

  2. Nice post. Reminds me of this Martin Luther King Junior quote, β€œDarkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Thank you for spreading your kind words. Wishing you all the best, AP2 πŸ™
