A letter to Irrfan Khan

Dear Irrfan khan,

We knew you were in pain, suffering since  two years.

Still, it’s so tough to accept that you are gone.

The way you have played the intense roles, which leave a lingering sadness long after the movie is over,  to the characters  giving substantial life lessons to the audience with lots and lots of laughter with your natural humour instinct and those talking eyes.

Your realistic, raw, intense, and fun characters made their way straight to our hearts.

More than you as an actor, I have always been awestruck with you as a human.

The glamour of Bollywood couldn’t take away the simplicity of your personality, the beauty of your heart, you always stayed humble, modest man and that’s why your stardom never intimidated us, in fact personally I never perceived you as some superstar, you always felt like one of us.

Maybe that’s the reason your death seems so personal to everyone.
That’s why it’s so hard to let you go.
You indeed are people’s star and will always be.

And I know today you are shining brightest more than ever.

Thank you for gracing this earth with your presence, thank you for making us believe in dreams, thank you for showing us that it is possible to have what you want without forgetting who you are.

You are immortal and will continue to live in our hearts.
